FINALLY I am allowed back !!!!

Hi  - after a lot of whining and shuffling of my cute furry pawfeet and sending sad looks to my human lady, she turned on the little laptop computer-for-bears-only and here I am back on my blog again.  I've been stuck on her office table for ages and ages, with just a lot of dumb books for company!

Today is an important day. My humans started "Renovations".  I'm not really sure what that means, but there's a list on the frig door and it's long.  Whenever they talk about "Renovations", they both look at the list.  Anyway, I was told that I could help as long as I didn't get into trouble.

???? trouble .... me?????

I went into the "Renovations" room and had a look around.

I had just been over visiting Buttons' blog and saw how brave he was climbing up that huge ladder to the very toppest part of the roof.  I decided I would be brave and try to climb this small ladder. I found a safety hat ... just in case.  

Wow - I don't feel brave at all.  It's scary. I just hung on and yelled and yelled.

No one heard me, although I did hear laughing down in the kitchen. 

In the end, I gave up yelling and decided to jump into the bag of torn off bits of wallpaper.  I remembered Jerry and Ben saying that if I ever jumped off anything, I should make sure there was something soft to land on. This was soft!  

I'm safe. Phew.

Now I've just got to go and comb my fur and make sure my beautiful eyelashes didn't get all mussed up.

It's Ok - it is not a spider photo

Here is another photo. Do not be scared. It is not a spider. It is the eyelashes on the left side of my face. The ones on the right side are beautiful too, but these are the best.

Hi... this is a guessing thing.  Here's some clues.  I'm a bit late... um.... over a whole week late (but that's because my human lady reckoned she needed a break from her blog, so I had to take a break too!).
The other clue is that I'm not scary.  I'm pretty nice.  Can you guess?

Yukky Bean Bags!

I was asked by my human lady to sit on one of the bean bags they'd just finished making, so she could take a picture.

Well, of course I refused.... what am I a "Bean Bag Model"--- nah!   Anyway, she ordered me to sit on one and, well, look what happened. I got sunk into it.  Serves them right for being mean to me!

Hi. Thanks for coming back. I've been moping around for ages. See,  I ended up falling in love with that great big lump of a Vinnie. But he done me wrong. It's all water under the bridge now, so I'm getting on with my life. Moving on.  I'm a new bear now and have a new career.  Read on.....

I'm back home for Christmas... but what a shock!

Ok, well, I'm back.

Got greeted by this new guy, Vinnie, sitting in my chair. Large as life as if he owned the place.

Not too happy. What were my humans thinking! 

He's sort of good looking I guess. His nose is a nice shape..... but..... heck!   What's a bear to do - I come home ready to be all nice and cheery for Christmas, expecting a rousing reception and all I get is "Oh, hi Rebel you're back - meet Vinnie".   I just don't know what to think!!

a cute way when he talks.

I'll definitely be gone for some time !!

Coming to a Theatre near you

Hi, I've been totally and absolutely flat-out with rehearsals these past few days, but just had to share with everyone the latest news that has hit the town here.  It's all about ME !!  

Oh, and, Antony gets a mention too ;-) 

The film is going well. The bears in charge treat me quite well - the honey's not up to scratch.  I knew I should have brought supplies from home... in fact, I think I'll email my humans tonight and get them to organise a delivery for me.  Other than that it's all good.  

Oh, yes, one other thing.  I've been told I might be able to do an early release of the film's promo piece on this very blog -  how good is that.  So, I'll keep my paws crossed for that. In the meantime, have a read:

If you've kept up with the latest "Bearly  Entertainment News", you'll see I mentioned about the possibility of me starring in a  gothicbear movie.  When I wrote that, I was in a hoping-like-mad-it-would-come-true kind of mood, but, YAY it will come true. 


I can tell you a lot more about it very, very soon. Promise.  In the meantime, I'm off to get some beauty sleep now, and tomorrow I'll be getting my fur brushed and my claws clipped and shaped in readiness. Oh, and probably my beautiful eyelashes will need a little bit of extra curling.

Rebel Cooks Bearylicious Caramel Dumplings

Serve with cream or ice cream

Caramel Dumplings (especially for the Bears bear - you know who I mean ;-) )

1 1/4 cups self raising flour

Pinch salt

1/4 cup caster sugar

1 Tablespoon butter (or margarine)

1/2 cup milk

1 teaspoon vanilla essence

Sauce:

1 tablespoon butter

1 1/2 cups brown sugar

1 1/2 to 2 cups water

Dumplings:  sift flour, rub in butter, add sugar.  To milk add vanilla. Gradually mix together to form a soft dough. Don't over mix. Then roll dough into the size of walnuts.

Sauce: Place all ingredients into a large saucepan, stir until boiling. Drop dough balls into simmering sauce. Cover with tightly fitting lid and simmer for 20 minutes. Serve with cream or ice cream.

A handy hint: make an equal number of dumplings for everyone, otherwise fights may break out - these are totally yummy !

A sneak peek at my beauty routine

In anticipation of my new modelling career, I've had my beary beautiful eyelashes tinted, curled and lengthened. Oh, I know, one can't really improve on nature .... but, hey, the competition is fierce out there!!


Here I am, applying a secret blend of eucalyptus oil to my lashes.  


Next, I'm thinking of treating myself to a special nose waxing.  

Another Job for Bears - a case of extreme cruelty

Well, they say seeing is believing..... see this --->
I snapped this photo outside our supermarket last night and then immediately reported this terrible case of abuse of bears and other stuffed toys to the police.

Fortunately, the owners of the vehicle returned shortly after the police arrived. The toys were released and all seemed to be cheerful enough considering their harrowing ordeal.  The owners have been charged with various offences.

I will not let it rest, however, and have supplied all relevant details to the wonderful staff of the Bears (Be Enraged and Retaliate Silly), for action.
